Every class is assisted by a coach or mentor who will guide teams of students through the course and help with initiatives related to washable shoe insoles, or social applications; Students are given ample opportunity to try out their ideas using lean business practices.



As student teams progress through the course students learn to improve the ideas of their startups through the exploration of ideas and customers, market research, developing prototypes, pitching and building. This process helps develop cooperation and problem-solving skills in addition to teaching students how quickly they can adapt to changes.



Every team is competing for funds during the INCubatoredu National Pitch, which takes place every year. This event provides teams with valuable networking experiences with investors as well as insightful advice from business leaders - an event known for its Shark Tank-style pitch competitions.
